Larry Glenn McWhorter, 74 of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer.

Larry was born on August 14, 1947, in Cumberland County to the late, Ellis McWhorter and Annie Mae Davis McWhorter. He was the associate pastor at Galilee Holiness Church and was employed with Allied Security.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 12 noon at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11-12 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Gay and Shirley Merritt.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Oster McWhorter; sons, Stevie McWhorter, Mark McWhorter, Glenn McWhorter; sisters, Brenda White, Pamela Slicker; and 11 grandchildren.
