Early in the morning of Nov. 25, Lauren Ashley Wood passed gently out of this life and into the hands of God. She was 28 years old. Lauren is survived by her parents Ricky and Lisa Wood and a brother Jonathan all of Fayetteville. Her grandparents are Ken and Carolyn Wood, David and Margaret McCaskill all of Fayetteville. Lauren had an amazing spirit. Her radiant smile and laughter was contagious. She embraced everyone she met. Lauren could be goofy and silly or very serious. She loved country music, road trips, the beach, watching Hallmark movies, and playing with her rescue dogs Dixie and Ranger. Her testimony to Jesus was made known to others through her life. Though pain invaded her body, she never stopped shining forth the beauty and love of Christ. The Lord whispered in Laurens ear on Wednesday morning and said its time to come home you've suffered enough. Funeral services will be held Monday 2pm Northwood Temple Church and Visitation- Jernigan Warren Funeral Home, Sunday 6-8pm, Private Burial-Lafayette Memorial Park.
