Mr. Lavern Jones, 62 of Lumber Bridge passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Galilee Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Jones is survived by sons Michael Jones, Lathan Locklear, Anthony Jones, and Andrew Jones; daughters Monica Jones and Linda Jones; sisters Berlitha Locklear, Lou Moss, Sherry Harris, and Lila Mae Scott; brother Andrew Jacobs and 6 grandchildren.
