Leola Chason McPhail, 92, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2007, after a lengthy illness. A native of Bladen County, N.C., she had been a Newport News resident for 52 years. she was a homemaker, a hostess at Grandy's and retired from K-mart. Mrs. McPhail was preceded in death by her husband, Addison K. McPhail, Sr. and eleven brothers and sisters. Survivors include three sons, Addison Kesler McPhail, Jr. and wife Diane, Donald Wayne Mcphail and wife, Judy , and Jerry Craig McPhail and wife Tena; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery.
