Leon M. Brock, Jr 79, of Stedman, passed away on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009 in NC State Veterans Nursing Home. He was born on February 3rd, 1930 in Clinton to the late Rev. Leon M. Brock, Sr and Willie Jane Pope Brock. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and East Carolina University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Stedman Baptist Church. He retired after 36 years as a teacher and coach with Stedman High School and Cape Fear High School, and was awarded The Order Of The Long Leaf Pine, a member of the Fayetteville Sports Hall Of Fame, and Cape Fear High School dedicated their gym floor after him. The family will receive friends Friday, February 6, 2009 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The funeral will be held Saturday February 7, 2009 at Cape Fear High School
