Leona Anderson Brown Owen, 88 of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1927 in Kelly, N.C. to the late Anna Blaylock and Willie L. Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husbands William M. Brown and Lonnie W. Owen both of Fayetteville.

Leona was a charter member of Village Presbyterian Church. She was employed by SH Kress Company for 36 years and then Maxway Stores until retirement. Leona was a compassionate, generous, and kind-hearted lady and loved by all. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Village Presbyterian Church with Rev. Archie Barringer, officiating. The burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens on Raeford Road. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Mrs. Owen is survived by her daughter, Wanda Brown Williford and husband Bobby R. Williford of Fayetteville; grandaughters, Lindsay Williford Hall and husband Jeremy; Carlin Williford Godley and husband David; great-grandchildren, Riley Rae Hall, Reese Marie Godley and Charlie Porter Godley; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
