Lessie Inman Thompson, 89 of Hope Mills, NC passed to Heaven on Tuesday, August 29th 2017. She was born July 16, 1928.

She was preceded to Heaven by her husband, James Council Thompson, Sr, Daughter, Ethel Hamblin, infant Daughter, great grandson, Lawrence "Tiger" James Seauy, and brothers, Nathan, Eddie, Harvey, Albert and Witt Inman.

She is survived by her siblings, Danny Inman, Betty Pate, Woodrow Inman, Mary Lee Inman and Susie Connors. her children, Alice Benton and husband Benny, James C. Thompson, Jr and wife Mary Ann, Larry W. Thompson and wife Karen. nine grandchildren, Benji Benton, Jr, Sandra Broadwell, Debbie Fryman, Al Hamblin, Lindy Gardner, James C. Thompson III, Caitlyn Thompson, Kayla Wentworth, Jesse Wentworth, eleven great grandchildren, Jamie Ivey, Dawn Kallmeyer, James Gardner, Jr, Tara Kimberly-Jean Perry, Danny Seaux, Mandy Bryant, Jessica Thompson, Aubrey Thompson, Gracelyn Oloane, Kinsley Oloane, Brittany Williams, twelve great-great grandchildren, Nikolai Potratz, Zachary Ivey, Kristen Ivey, Candice Ivey, Autumn Kallmeyer, Anica Kallmeyer, Ashley Gardner, Alyssa Gardner, Kimberly Skipper, Jimmy Perry, Jr, Brooke Bryant, Braxton Bryant.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, and great nephews who were all held dear in her heart.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home with the funeral following at 12:30pm in the funeral home chapel. burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
