Lester David Sinclair, Sr., 89, of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home with his beloved family by his side.

Lester was born July 15, 1932, in Wadesboro, NC, to the late Rudolph and Ella Harriett Sinclair. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga K. Sinclair.

Lester was a Retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army and served his country in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was also a Retired Clerk in Radiology at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 12 noon at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Bragg, NC with full military honors. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday.

He is survived by his son, Lester David Sinclair, Jr., daughters, Diana Sinclair and husband Michael Horton and Patricia Sinclair;  6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Gerta Charles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fayetteville Animal Protection Society (FAPS), 3927 Bragg Blvd., Fayetteville, NC 28303.
