Obituary

Leta Hamilton Rosser, 91 of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 31, 1924 in Chalybeate Springs, N.C. to Blanche and Henry Hamilton.Leta was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years J.T. Rosser. She was a graduate of Campbell University and Wake Forest University. Leta was a member of Pilot Club, United Methodist Women, Fellowship Sunday School Class and Hay Street United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Hay Street United Methodist Church with Rev. David Blackman officiating. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary one hour prior to the service.

She is survived by her son, Terry Rosser (Joni) of Hilton Head, S.C.; daughters, Ann Lowery (Jeff) of Waynesboro, Ms. and Laura Laycock (Alan) of Fayetteville; brother, H.H. Hamilton of Charlotte and sister, Hilda Pickard of Randleman; eight grandchildren, Chip Lowery (Kathy) of Hattiesburg, Ms.; Peyton Lowery of Waynesboro, Ms.; Leta Stephens (Mike) of Selma, Al.; Josh Laycock (Kristy) of Durham; Chris Laycock of Fayetteville; Carly Rosser of Charleston, S.C.; Seth Laycock (Caitlin) of Raleigh and Dylan Rosser of Austin, TX.; and five great-Grandchildren, Lowery Skinner, Max and Tyler Lowery and Price and Sloane Stephens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hay Street United Methodist Church 320 Hay Street Fayetteville, N.C. 28301.
