Obituary

Lieselotte (Lelo) Edmondson passed on Christmas Day. She is survived by her three children, Tina S. Hollins, Emanuel Earnest Edmondson, and Vladimir I. Edmondson.

She was a proud, strong, and kind woman who loved, and was loved by, her friends, her four dogs, and her children. Born in Frankfurt during pre-World War II events, she grew up in a war-torn Germany. She married an American soldier. And she spent the majority of her life near Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

During her seventy-seven years, she was the friend of, and mother to, many. She was the housekeeper for a number of Fayetteville families. She cooked, cleaned, and cared for these families as she would have for her own. Their children were her children, their sorrows were her sorrows, and their celebrations were her celebrations to share. Lelo's three children want to thank those families for loving their mom. A special gratitude is owed to Linda and Drew Rosen, Jackie West, Gudrun Walston, and Hillare and David Rothman.

Lelo's gifts were truth, hard work, and a love for animals.Lelo's life will be remembered at a memorial service at the Jernigan Warren Funeral Home on Friday, January 2 from 6pm to 8pm.In lieu of flowers, family has requested that donations be made to the Fayetteville Animal Protection Society at PO Box 58195 Fayetteville, NC 28305 or at http://www.fapspet.org/donate.html .
