FAYETTEVILLE    Linda Reeves Berckman, 74, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Linda retired from Cape Fear Orthopedic Clinic where she worked for many years as a bookkeeper. She was a lifelong member of Victory United Methodist Church (UMC) and president of the Victory UMC women's group for many years. Her biggest blessing in life was being called "Nannie" by her three grandchildren. She loved shopping, watching sports and playing cards with her sisters. Her life brought glory to God, radiating His joy at all times. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:00 am in Victory United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Linda is preceded in death by parents, P.A. and Bertha Reeves; sister, Hilda Sibbett and husband Gene; sister-in-law Patsy Reeves and brother-in-laws, Gene Berckman and Edward Foy. Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 55-years, Jimmy Berckman, of the home; daughter, Allyson Joyner and husband Danny of Fayetteville; son, Brien Berckman of Virginia; grandson, Justin Joyner and wife Victoria of Fayetteville; granddaughter Jordan Sheets and husband Robby of Greenville; granddaughter Sydney Berckman of Virginia; great granddaughter, Aliza Joyner of Fayetteville; sisters, Sara Foy, Shirley Coleman and husband George; brother, Larry Reeves and wife Mary; sister-in-law, Rachel Berckman.
