Linda Cline Waddell

Linda Ann Cline Waddell, 79, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born on March 24, 1947, in Cumberland County, Linda was the daughter of the late Glenn Cline and Annie Ivey Cline. She earned an Associate Degree in Business from Fayetteville Technical Community College and dedicated 30 years of service to Harnett Production Mental Health, where she worked as an instructor. Throughout her career, she was known for her compassion, dedication, and commitment to helping others.

After retiring, Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending quiet time at home with a good book and cherished the friendships she made while playing bingo with fellow seniors at the Senior Citizens Center. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Clayton Cline and Leroy Cline.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Robert Wayne Waddell, Jr.; her daughter, Kari Waddell Blake; her brother, Glenn Cline; her sister, Marie Cline; her grandchildren, Haley Ann Blake, Austin Ray Blake, and Shante Lynn Hunt; and her great-grandchildren, Xavier King Blake and Kyrin Holloway Hunt, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
