Mr. Liniel Wayne "Punk" McLaurin, 80 of Eastover passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Liniel was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and attended Lebanon Baptist Church. He was a retired employee from G. & W. Meat Co. He was preceded in death by his parents Eston and Iula McLaurin and a sister Norma McLaurin. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Dougald McLaurin and Dr. John Campbell, officiating. The burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Mr. McLaurin is survived by his loving wife Wanda Maynor McLaurin of the home; daughter Crystal Woods and husband Mark of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; stepson Stephen Music and girlfriend Kathy of Knoxville, TN; brother Jimmy McLaurin and wife Lucy of Eastover; 4 grandchildren Elizabeth Rishel and husband Ryan; Phillip Thompson, Jr.; Lake Thompson, Jack Woods, and a loving dog Brandy (Bobo).
