Linwood Williams, 65, of Sneads Ferry, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Onslow Memorial Hospital.

Linwood was owner and operator of Woody's Construction Co. He was born December 22, 1951 to the late Leon and Mary Lou Williams.

He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Roy Norris; sisters, Mary Ellen Williams and Kathy Vann.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Pastor Steve Allen presiding. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park.

He is survived by his companion of 21 years Linda Jones and her daughter, Cherame Jones; sister, Patricia Williams; brothers, Phillip Norris, Anthony Norris, and Michael Norris; nieces, Casey Etheridge, Kimberly Vann, Kaitlynn Norris; and nephews, Skylar Norris and Michael Matthews.

The family will receive friends from noon till 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home
