Lisa E. Jeffreys HOPE MILLS — Mrs. Lisa Edwards Jeffreys, 49, of Hope Mills passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was a financial service officer with the State Employees Credit Union in Hope Mills. Lisa was a beloved mother and wife who enjoyed being with her family. She was very strong in her faith and values; the last two and half years have been a struggle with cancer, but God healed her when he took her home. Heaven is a better place today and we will always miss her. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold C. Edwards. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, in Praise Fellowship. Burial will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home . Mrs. Jeffreys is survived by her husband, Wesley Jeffreys of the home; son, Todd Jeffreys and wife Melissa of Wilmington; daughter Jessica Jeffreys and fiancé Derek Rolland of Hope Mills; sister, Yvonne Stanley and husband Joe of Kernersville; half brother, Dale C. Edwards and wife Ann-Marie of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and mother, Annie "Anne" Edwards of Hope Mills. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home . Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, in Praise Fellowship.
