Obituary

Mrs. Mayme Lois Gonzalez passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, in her home in Fayetteville, surrounded by her loving family. As a young girl she worked as an usherette and soda jerk in Florida. Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by first husband, Alfred Lindsey Sr.; second husband, George Gonzalez; mother and father, Lida and Elmer Sneed; and three children, Sandra Lindsey Beasley, Gary Lindsey and Brian Gonzalez. Mrs. Lois Gonzalez is survived by her sons, Alfred Lindsey Jr. and wife Margie of Jackson, Ga., Ray Lindsey and wife Bonnie of Aniston, Ala., John Lindsey San Diego, and James Gonzalez of Fayetteville; three daughters; Donna Wilson and husband Lee of Ovid, N.Y., Debbie Lindsey of Alameda, Calif., and Darla Gonzalez of Fayetteville; a sister; Margaret Sims of Talladega, Ala.; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Lois Gonzalez will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Jernigan Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. John Blackman officiating. The burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
