Lois M. Murray NEWPORT, Va. - Mrs. Lois Moudy Murray, 82, of Newport and formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., departed this life Wednesday morning, April 29, 2009, in Kroontje Health Care Center in Blacksburg, Va. Born in Greenville, Texas, on Jan. 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Elmer and Myrtle Mae Felmet Moudy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Retired Army Col. Lynn Odell Murray, whom she faithfully supported in all the moves of his long military career. She also worked various government jobs. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and sons-in law, Linda and Carl Schieffer of Dallas, Sharen and Kent Dyche of Kernersville, N.C., and Karen and David Yolton of Newport; her four grandchildren, Bill Schieffer and wife Laura, Beth Schieffer, Richard Dyche and Ben Yolton; and her two great-grandchildren, Mary Schieffer and Carl Schieffer. Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 12, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville. The burial will follow in Fort Bragg Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service on Sunday, July 12, 2009, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
