Mrs. Lois Elaine Scheel, 92, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 11 am in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Rev. Richard Stone and Rev. Jim Owen presiding. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park on Rasmey Street. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 am Monday. Lois was a member of Salem United Methodist Church; and she was formerly active with both the Travelling Peace Makers and the Sunnyside Senior Citizens Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert and all nine of her siblings, who lived throughout the country. She is survived by her daughter, Lexie Owen and husband, Jim, of Eastover; two sons, Ronald Scheel and wife, Sandra, of River Oaks, TX and Douglas Scheel and wife, Jan, of Berryville, AR; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church or to one's favorite charity.
