Loretta Enerson

Jul 10, 1960 — Jul 12, 2026

Fayetteville

Loretta Katherine Enerson, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at her daughter's home in Cameron, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Just two days earlier, on July 10, she celebrated her 66th birthday surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 10, 1960, in Gainesville, Georgia, Loretta was the beloved daughter of the late Bennie Hallman and Cynthia Amor Hallman.

Loretta graduated from Douglas Byrd High School in 1977 and later earned her Master's Degree in Business from Michigan University. She dedicated many years of compassionate service to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, retiring as a Medical Social Worker with the Community Alternatives Program, where she touched countless lives through her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Outside of her career, Loretta found joy in crafting, crocheting, tending to her beautiful plants and flowers, and taking trips to both the beach and the mountains. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Those who knew her will remember her generous heart, strong spirit, and, on occasion, her lovable stubbornness.

Above all else, Loretta cherished her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found her greatest happiness in spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and loved ones. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved fur babies, Max, Sparky, and Smoky, who brought her endless companionship and joy.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Mary Clark and Elizabeth Moore.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Katherine Dailey and husband, Thomas, Sarah Holcomb and husband, Curtis, and Jessica Hillman and husband, Jason; her brother, Edward Hallman; her grandchildren, Tommy Dailey, Bobby Dailey, Jesse Dailey, Hunter Rippey, Matthew Long, Casey Dailey, Tanner Dailey, Lila Dailey, Cameron Holcomb, Raelynn Holcomb, Kayla Mitchell, Jacob Card, and Nathaniel Hillman; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins, a niece, a nephew, and a host of dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, 545 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
