Mrs. Lottie Ruth Allen Pick, 91, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Highland House. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 24, 2010, at 11 o'clock a.m. in LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1o:30 to 11 am at the cemetery. She was a retired primary school educator after 45 years of service with the Cumberland County Schools. She was a charter member and Sunday school teacher at Village Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Campbell University and Meredith College. She was born April 8, 1919, in Bunnlevel, NC to the late Charles Miller Allen and Charlotte Byrd Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Pick; and sister, Kathryn Allen Guy Tyson. She is survived by her nephews, Charles Allen Guy Sr. (BIllie) of Fayetteville, Phillip Marsh Guy Sr. (Donna) of Fayetteville, and Dr. Dan Miller Guy (Terri) of Sante Fe, NM; several grandnephews and grandnieces. Pallbearers will include: Phillip M. Guy II, Darby Guy, Stephen M. Guy, George Shepherd, George Massengill and E. Stanley Owen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Village Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, 906 S. McPherson Church Road, Fayetteville NC 28303.
