Louie Caldwell Lynch Jr., 87, of 3809 Wyatt St., Fayetteville, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Lynch was a medic in the Army Air Corps and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific with the 342nd Fighter Squadron of the 348th Fighter Group. He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church since 1962. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, in Christ United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Mr. Lynch is survived by two sons, Louie Caldwell Lynch III of Hope Mills and William H. "Bill" Lynch and wife Pat of Pinehurst.
