Mrs. Louise Lee West (Gardner), 80, of Rocky Mount, NC, and formerly of Fayetteville, NC, died Saturday, January 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Louise was born December 14, 1942, in Cumberland County, to the late Lonnie Rudolph Lee, Sr. and Essie Pearl Lockamy Lee.  She was a photographer.  Louise was preceded in death by her two husbands, Ronald B. West, Sr. and Billy G. Gardner; a son, Tommy Anthony West; and six siblings.

Louise is survived by sons; Ronnie West and wife Jeanette and Kenneth West; brothers, John Lee and wife Janet and Elbert Lee and wife Rita; sister, Carolyn Larson and husband Jim; grandchildren, Veronica West Johnson and husband Steven Bullard, Crystal Sims and husband Justin, and Jordan West and wife Hannah; and great-grandchildren, Shania Johnson, Brody Sims, Kylie Sims, Ella Sims, Haven West, and River West.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from  11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Entombment will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum,  4509 Raeford Rd., Fayetteville, NC 28304.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615 or to the ECU Home Health & Hospice, 1005 WH Smith Blvd., Greenville, NC 27834.
