Mrs. Lourdes Meno Mendiola Blas, 88, of Godwin, NC, died Monday, September 12, 2022, at her residence.

Lourdes was born February 13, 1934, in Guam to the late Juan Mendiola and Ana Meno Concepcion.  She was a homemaker.  Lourdes was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Pereda Blas and several siblings and their spouses, Isidro Mendiola (Dolores), Carmen Fernandez (Jose), Rita Benavente (Jose), Ana Toves (Juan), Jose Mendiola (Ana), Francisco Cruz, and Jesusa Racelis (Douglas).

Lourdes is survived by two adopted children, Julie and Frank Blas; two sisters, Rosa Cruz and Maria Sablan; one brother, Felipe Concepcion and wife Maria; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in the Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Bragg, NC.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, until the hour of the service.
