Lucille Bunce Ellis, 72, of Eastover, died early Sunday morning, August 2, 2015, in Bethesda Health Care Facility.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 2 pm in Victory United Methodist Church with Dr. Tryon D. Lancaster presiding. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm to 2 pm at the church.

Lucy was born September 18, 1942 in Cumberland County to the late George Wesley and Eva Matthews Bunce. She was a very loving mother and grandmother; and active member of Victory UMC. Lucy was active in every sport possible growing up and into adulthood. She graduated from Central High School Class of 1960. She retired from Carolina Telephone and Telegraph after 30+ years of service.

She is survived by her son, Robert Thomas and wife Cheryl of Hope Mills; daughters, Marie McCarroll and husband John of Eastover and Kelly Draughon and husband Randy of Fayetteville; step-children, Laura Conley of King and Roy Ellis of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Sue Livengood of Hope Mills; brother, Dwight Bunce of Rougemont; and 7 grandchildren, Melissa and Cody Thomas, Johnathon and Jacob McCarroll, and Kendal and Kaygan Draughon, and Andrew Conley.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ellis; and brothers, Glenn, Marvin and William Bunce.
