Luis Pereda Blas, 89, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Mr. Blas was born on February 2, 1932, in Guam, to the late Francisco Cepeda Blas and Maria Concepcion Pereda. He was retired from the US Army Special Forces.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, at 12:00 p.m., with full military honors.

Mr. Blas is survived by his wife:  Lourdes Meno Mendiola Blas of Godwin; two adopted children:  Julie and Frank Blas; two sisters:  Teresa Mesa and Marta Blas, both of Guam; and one brother:  Antonio Blas of Guam.
