Lula Kersey Grover, 76, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at her home.

Lula was born January 25, 1947, in Robeson County, NC to the late Latha and Jessie Kersey. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grover; son, Bruce Grover; brothers, James Kersey and David Kersey; sisters, Mary Quick, Doretha Davis, and Daisy Lybrand.

Lula was a Retired Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army after 20 years. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 2 PM at New Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2:00 PM on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Parkton Cemetery.

She is survived by her brothers, Donnie and Tommy Kersey; grandchildren, Steven Grover and Amanda Edmondson; niece, Ann Kuehne and husband David and other nieces and nephews.
