Lydia Scott Ruiz, 92, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her residence with her family by her side.

Lydia was born on January 23, 1931, in Puerto Rico to the late Jacob Scott and Grace Ruiz Scott.

Lydia was the second of nine children and the first to move to the United States. She made it possible for all of her remaining family to prosper here in America.

Lydia was a women of all trades. She was an entrepreneur and owner of Lillian's Sportwear. She was known for her dresses, suits, wedding gowns and Upholstering.  She was always helping anyone in need.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Lafayette Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Juan D. Pacheco; children, Anna Lydia Ramos, Odette Ramirez, and Juan Durand, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Aida Serrano and husband John, Lydia Serrano and husband Santos, Jose Lopez and David Lopez; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
