FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Lynette Downing Ehler, 72, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, in Village Green Care Center.
Mrs. Ehler was a retired federal civil service employee after 40 years of service. She was a deacon, a Stephen minister, a Sunday school teacher and a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was a former board member of the Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch, and former board member of April Sound Interdenominational Church in Montgomery, Texas, where she was also a Sunday school teacher.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, cousin and friend. Mrs. Ehler was preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Rowland Downing; and her husband, George Richard Ehler Sr.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Wright Coker Jr. and the Rev. Andy Foley officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the memorial service.
Mrs. Ehler is survived by a son, George Richard Ehler Jr. of Nacogdoches, Texas; a daughter, Mary Kristian Daub and husband Leo Erich of Corinth, Texas; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Benjamin Daub, Jestin Thomas Nelson, Jonathan Tyler Daub, Lorianne Michelle Daub and Cody Christian Nelson; and several cousins.
