Lynn Freeman Kelley, of Fayetteville NC, age 83, passed into the presence of her Lord on April 11, 2022.

She was a native of Screven County Georgia, the daughter of the late Dorace and Rosalyn Freeman, and graduated from Screven County High School and the Medical University of South Carolina School of Nursing.  While there She received the Alumni Award of 1960 for Excellence in Nursing and Leadership and was the President of her Class.  Her nursing career included 23 years of school nursing at Ft. Bragg Schools during which time she achieved American Nurses Association National Certification in Community Health Nursing and School Nursing.  She loved her Lord Jesus Christ, her family, friends, nature and gardening.  She was a member of Northwood Temple Church, the Fayetteville Camellia Club and a past North Carolina Master Gardener Volunteer.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack Kelley Sr., two sons, Jack Kelley Jr. and wife Elaine of Fayetteville NC and Shawn Kelley and wife Aine of Charlotte NC, four grandchildren, Turner Kelley of Charlotte NC, Dillon Kelley of Chicago IL,  Liam Kelley of Charlotte NC and Dr. Jessica Walsh O'Sullivan of Atlanta GA;  also, her brother Rick Freeman and a cousin (as close as a sister) Janis Boucher of Sylvania, GA, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She is predeceased in death in addition to her parents, by her brother Carlton Freeman, and sister Dale Wayne.

Funeral services will be conducted at Northwood Temple Church, Fayetteville, NC on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:00am with visitation at 10:00am prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jesus Film Project or Northwood Temple Church.
