Obituary

Mable Barlow Campbell, 95 of Fayetteville died Sunday March 23, 2014. Born August 26, 1918 in Parkton, she was the daughter of the late John Barlow and Sudie Hall Barlow. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Campbell, two brothers, Williams Barlow and David Barlow, two sisters Geneva Guinn and Allie Hutchinson. She was a life member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was an angel here on earth that has now received her heavenly wings and will be missed by many. She was a loving and kind individual who never met a stranger and was extremely generous. She would say "the more you give the more you receive". She would often donate to people or causes she would have read or heard about with their individual needs. And even though she never had any children she would often say "I never had and children of my own but I sure helped raise a lot of them". She was known by family and friends for her good southern cooking. She retired after 37 years from Fort Bragg as manager of the Clothing and Sales store. Survived by Myrl and Carolyn Clinard, Raeford; J.L. and Mary Helen Jordan, Stedman; Cathy Lawson, West End; Daniel Graham, Durham; Larry Graham, St. Pauls and several other nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 1pm to 2pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. The burial will follow the service in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
