Mrs. Mable Louise Worrell Edwards, 83, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Edwards will be held Friday, February 23, 2007, at 2 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with the Rev. Mitch Minson officiating. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park.
She worked at Fayetteville Publishing Company for 13 years.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Edwards, Sr., in 1978, and her sister, Francis Turlington.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Edwards and wife, Mary, of Stedman, Ambrose \\"Buddy\\" Edwards and wife, Brenda, of Hope Mills, Gerald Edwards of Fayetteville; three daughters, Aulby Edwards of Fayetteville, Patricia Atkinson and husband, Albert, of St. Pauls, Linda Pruitt and husband, Durant, of Wade; 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a half brother, Jimmy Brown and wife, Diane, of Hope Mills; three nieces, Kay Cameron, Vicky Barton, and Peggy Rice; and a nephew, Jerry Turlington.
The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
