Fayetteville- Mrs. Madge Christine Holmes, 88 of Fayetteville, died Thursday, April 26, 2012. Born in Cumberland County, She was the daughter of the late David E. Williams and Lena Victoria Haywood Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlon E. Holmes and a granddaughter, Brittany Holmes. She is survived by sons, Marlon Holmes and wife Sherry of the home, Gary E. Holmes and wife Belinda of Atlanta, GA, Daughter, Candace Holmes Walker and husband Vick of Fayetteville, a brother, Billy P. Williams and wife Mary of Fayetteville, sister-in-law Dorthy D. Williams of Fayetteville, 6 grandchildren, Marla Wallker Rizzolo, Kim Walker, Jennifer Holmes, Randall Holmes, Ashley Holmes, Jeffrey Holmes, Jr, 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson Rizzolo and Catherine Candace Rizzolo. Mrs. Holmes retired from J.C Penny Co in 1985. The family will receive friends Sunday April 29, 2012 from 2pm to 3pm in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, the funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3pm, Burial Will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends Sunday , April 29, 2012 from 2 to 3 p.m. one hour prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park On Ramsey Street.
