Mae Harris Kendall, 101 of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Carolina Inn. She was born on June 12, 1913 in Cumberland County, N.C. to the late Thomas Jarvis and Maude McArthur Harris.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Elliott Harris, Norman B. Harris, Julian Harris, William Harris, Roland Harris and sisters Viola H. McDonald and Ethel H. Owen.

Mae was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting and other kinds of needlework. She was a faithful member of Village Baptist Church. Mae played the piano and organ at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for over 40 years.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Village Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Martin and Rev. Lindsey Williams, officiating. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2014.

Mrs. Kendall is survived by her son, Tommy Kendall and wife O' Leta of Fayetteville; daughters, Julia K. Williams and husband Oliver of Raleigh; Ann K. Suehr and husband Rick of Fayetteville; sister, Dorothy H. Pate of Staley ; grandchildren Ken Williams and wife Amee; Lindsey Williams and wife Kara; Paul Kendall and wife April; Thomas Kendall and wife Jen; Marcia Snyder and husband Paul; Jeff Scribner and wife Julia and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
