Major David H. Hofman, 41, of Hope Mills died September 10, 2008. He served with the US Army B Company, 3rd BN, 1st SWTG(A), U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare & School. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at 10:30 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Chaplain Hurley officiating. The burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. He is survived by his wife, Christina Hofman; his three children, Trevor, Alexandra, and Josephine; his father, Hendrik G. Hofman; and his sisters, Yvonne Savitske and Denise Mason.
