Malina Cummings Lowery, 47, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023, at her residence.

Malina was born on March 19, 1976, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Pine Forest High School, and Fayetteville State University. She was employed at RCI as a counselor.

She was an awesome mother to her sons and loved them dearly. she loved her grandson more that life itself and she was dedicated to all three. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially tye dyeing. She loved long walks on the beach in the late evening, however her greatest joy was watching Hallmark Christmas movies with her mom.

She was a loving daughter, mother, Gma, sister, aunt, niece and friend to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Patrick Cummings.

She is survived by her sons, Keanu Lowery, and Ian Lowery; grandson, Karter Lowery; mother and father, Susan and Gary Scearce; sisters, Nasha Erin Newman, Kalle Marie Laubhan and husband Brendon and Megan Scearce; nephews and nieces, Kenny Dehu, Stephen Newman, Ryan Newman, Christian Laubhan and Morghan Laubhan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 5 pm at the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.
