Malloy "Smitty"  H. Quick 85 of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Malloy was born on January 12, 1937, in Cumberland County to the late Malloy and Jessie Edge Quick.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  He worked with numerous fire departments before retiring as captain after 33 years of service from Station 5.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the Church.

Malloy was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sally West Quick and his siblings, Franklin Quick, Betty Quick and Jackie Reynolds.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery S. Quick and wife DShay; sister, Ann Willis; grandchildren, Austin Quick, Ashlyn Quick and Aubree Quick.
