(Willis) Steinmetz
February 20, 1941 – July 8, 2024
Marcia Jo Willis Steinmetz, age 83, of Fayetteville, died 8 July 2024. Burial was held on 19 July 2024 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Cleveland, Ohio, originally was home, but she was a military wife who lived in such places as Germany, Thailand, and various locations throughout the United States. Marcia enjoyed vacationing in different countries such as Italy, Holland, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc, and in visiting historical sites wherever she and her family resided.
Marcia enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, researching her family history, and her volunteer work at the Museum of the Cape Fear. She was a member of the Cape Fear Quilters Guild and was a former member of the Tuesday Morning Bowling League on Fort Bragg and a member and volunteer of the Fayetteville Woman's Club.
She is survived by her husband Karl: two sons, William (Lynn), David (Mary Ann); two grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cameron (Mary) two step-grandchildren, Lauren, Tony, a beautiful great granddaughter, Annalise, and one sister: Carol Dangel (Richard), and many Willis cousins..
