Marcy Diane Thomas, 68, of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Duke Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer.

Marcy was born on November 4, 1953, in Macon, Missouri to the late Dayton Homer Thomas and Kathryn Lee Blair Thomas.

She was a 1971 graduate of Macon County R-1V in Macon, MO and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1974 and in 1981 she received her master's degree in human resources management, both from the Northeast Missouri State University.

Marcy was an Army Veteran and served as a Registered Nurse where she retired from Womack Army Medical Center as Chief Utilization Management in 2010. Her true passion was Ancestry Genealogy from an early age.

A Celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the Parker Farm, 3021 Cameron Hill Rd. Cameron, N.C. 28326. A graveside service will be held at a later date in New Cambria, MO.

Marcy is survived by her brother, Randall Lee Thomas; nephew Zachary Lee Thomas both of Tucson, Arizona and numerous friends in Missouri and North Carolina.

She was a loving, sister, nurse and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
