Mrs. Margaret Culbreth Adkins, 71, of Fayetteville, died peacefully Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with her friends and family by her side. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2006, at 2:00 pm in the Jernigan Warren Chapel with the Rev. Johnnie Pike officiating. The burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. She was retired from civil service after 30 years. She was a member of the ABWA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kinsey R. Winstead; son, Michael Winstead; brothers, Delma Culbreth, Joe Culbreth, and Leonard Culbreth. She is survived by three sons, Tim Winstead and partner, James Britt, of Wilmington, Kinsey Winstead of Ft. Meyers, FL and Jody Winstead and wife, Becky, of Fayetteville; three sisters, Theo Culbreth Short of Grand Prarie, Texas, Lillie Culbreth Jenkins and Myrtle Culbreth McRoy, both of Winterville; and a grandson, Kinsey D. R. Winstead. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening, October 4, 2006, at the funeral home.
