Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Stephens Croteau, 86, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, December 28, 2001, in her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 3 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Rev. Eastland Gray officiating. The burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Croteau was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Village Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Stanley L. Croteau; three sisters, Lela Jackson, Jessie Brisson, and Elizabeth Reneger; and four brothers, Belton Stephens, Russell Stephens, Douglas Stephens, and Tracy Stephens. She is survived by her daughter, Jane C. Page and husband, Larry Page, of Hope Mills; sons, Richard Croteau and wife Deborah B. Croteau, of Knoxville, TN and Stanley Croteau and wife Wanda H. Croteau, of Fayetteville; sisters, Loretta Wood of Raeford, Rachel Clark of Fayetteville, Betty Jean Sechrist of Dobson, and Mattie Guielette of Hope Mills; brothers, Bud Weston Stephens and Stacy Stephens, both of Raeford; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 2 to 3 pm at Jernigan Warren and other times at 5951 Rehoboth Rd, Hope Mills, NC.
