Margaret Hall Fort, 97, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, September 3, 2016.

Mrs. Fort was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Susan Jackson Hall; husband, James Fort, Sr.; brothers, Raymond, Ed and R.W. Hall; and her grandson, Jonathan Long. She is survived by her sons, James Fort and wife Brenda, Raymond and wife Diane; daughter, Rebecca Fort Halford; brother, Elmer Hall; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, burial will be private in Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday September 8th at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
