Obituary

Margaret Robertson Weaver Mrs. Margaret Robertson Weaver, 71, of Fayetteville, NC and Rocky Mount, NC, passed away in her Fayetteville home on Wednesday evening, March 13, 2013. Born in Nash County on November 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Mary Lee Bone Robertson Smith and late Ben Siler Robertson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lee and Ben, and her stepfather, Daniel Smith, and one son, infant Randy Weaver. Margaret is survived by her husband, Larry T. Weaver, Sr., daughter, Sheri McCall and husband Phillip, sons, Larry Weaver, Jr., Tony Weaver and wife Sherry, all of Fayetteville, nine grandchildren, Melinda Megill, Matthew McCall, Brice Weaver, Cristy Dean, Jason Weaver, Lisa Weaver, Amber Weaver, Allyson Weaver, Avaree Weaver, and four great-grandchildren, Conner Megill, Devin Megill, Jayden Weaver, and Jackson Weaver, her sister Sandra Moss and husband Thomas, and brother-in-law Donnie Weaver, all of Rocky Mount, and many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, dear friends and co-workers. Margaret lived in Fayetteville most of her life, splitting her time between here and her" second home" at the farmhouse in Rocky Mount, which was also where she lived when at the age of 14 she met her future husband, Larry, her soul mate for the past 57 years. She loved her children, grandchildren, family, and friends deeply, always sharing and giving to help those in need. She loved the garden at the farm, singing with the family, dancing, reading, animals and horseback riding Margaret's profession was Human Resources, personnel, serving as classification, compensation, and benefits analyst for NC state government, City of Fayetteville, and County of Cumberland over the span of her long career. She loved her job, those she worked with, and those that she served, so much so that after retirement, she returned periodically to continue serving and surrounding herself with those that truly were a significant part of her life and became a part of her extended family. She will be missed by all. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 3:30pm-5:30pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville, NC. Another visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 1pm to 2pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1052 south first street, Nashville, NC 27856 (252)459-0001 with a funeral service following at 2pm in Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel, Nashville, NC, with the Reverend Daniel Moss officiating.
