FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Marie Locklear Jones, 88, of Fayetteville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Carroll Memorial Baptist Church. with the Rev. Bobby West and the Rev. Carl A. Pevia officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. She is survived by her husband, Lee D. Jones of the home; daughters, Sandra Lucas and husband Jim of Gastonia, Linda Thorne and husband Robert of Fayetteville and Judy \\"Gail\\" Jones and husband Fred of Lumberton; grandchildren: Lisa Smith, Kevin Thorne, Brian Thorne, Jackie Lucas; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Kyle Smith, Julia Thorne, Emma Thorne, Caroline Thorne and Carson Thorne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Janie Locklear; brothers, Robert Locklear, Cecil Locklear and Johnson Locklear; and sisters, Harvelene Brayboy, Nola Hodges and Eunice Locklear.
