Mariel Derby Runkle, 91, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, September 1, 2018.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church with the Rev. John P. Locke officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, at St. James Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Runkle was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard Daniel "Dick" Runkle.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Daniel Runkle, Jr. and wife Marie, Stephen Andrew Runkle and wife Patty, David Elton Runkle and wife Donna; grandchildren, Daniel Runkle (Kim), Matthew Runkle (Rachel), Robert Tew  (Angela), Kelly Apple (Matt), Lauren Runkle, David Runkle II (Chris), Ashley Arthur (Brad); 8 great grandchildren.
