Mariettea G. Gilliland, 87 of Fayetteville, NC passed away Thursday September 22, 2011. Mariettea was born in Conway, Missouri on April 15, 1924 to Parents Samuel Ervin and Mary Etta Stone Graves. Mariette was a graduate of Conway High School, Where she enjoyed playing coronet, piano and singing. Three days after High School graduation, she moved to Baraboo, Wisconsin and worked for the War Department as a clerk typist returning to Springfield, Missouri in 1943 to attend nurses training at Drury College. She worked as a nurse in Wisconsin and in Lebanon, Missouri. Marietta was a member of the Haymount United Methodist Church in Fayetteville and a member of the Alaska Denali Chapter of Eastern Star. She enjoyed her travels as an Army wife sending her to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Achorage, AK & Germany. She loved to attend church functions, participate in Ballroom Dance, Listen to 1940
