Fayetteville: Marilyn Norris Beard, 76, passed away in her home on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, with her family by her side. The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 8pm Thursday June 7, 2012 at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be conducted at 11am, Friday, June 8, 2012 in the Jernigan Warren Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Randy Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Beard was a Godly woman, and her life was a reflection of the Savior she served. She was known for her many acts of kindness as she loved reaching out to others in their time of need. One of her greatest joys was baking for those that she loved. She especially loved baking for her caring and faithful friend and doctor; Jorge Franco. She was a loving and caring Sister, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. She touched the hearts of all those she came in contact with. Her beautiful smile and sweet spirit will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ollin and Arah Norris; her loving husband, Ronald Beard; and a grandson, Zachary, who was waiting in heaven for his Granny. She is survived by her two daughters, June Bullard and husband Scott of Fayetteville; Loretta Shannon and husband Keith of Stedman; six grandchildren, Meagan, Summer, Storm, Victor, Brent, and William; three great grandchildren, Carly, Ally, and Brady; six sisters, Doris Hill of Salemburg, Jeanette Beard of Fayetteville, Edith Johnson of Eastover, Merita Carlisle of Roseboro, Ruby Bryant of Beaver Dam, Pat Royal Of Clinton; two brothers, O.B. Norris of Stedman, Tommy Norris of Salemburg, a dear sister in-law, Belinda Norris of Stedman, and many nieces and nephews.
