Mrs. Marilyn Louise Ivey Ridgen, 94, of Fayetteville, NC, died Friday, March 29, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Louise was born March 4, 1930, in Fayetteville, NC, to the late Thurmond Dewey Ivey and Mamie Glee Kinlaw Ivey.  She was a sales associate in the retail industry.  Louise was a long-standing member of Village Presbyterian Church.  She loved her church and its members, as they were all special to her.  Louise loved her family, particularly her great-grandchildren, as they were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by sons, Stephen Michael Gutierrez and Thurney Lee Ridgen, III, and brother, Robert "Buddy" Ivey.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Loes (Ronald); grandchildren, Gerald Loes (Haileigh) and Casey Loes (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Jaden, Jaxon, Lyla, Jason, Jacey, Devin, and Ryan.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel.  Burial will follow at Cross Creek Cemetery (Section 3), Fayetteville, NC.
