Marion Lee "ML" Stephens, Jr. 74 of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

ML. was born in New Hanover County on June 30, 1945 to the late Marion Lee Stephens and Virginia Fay Grice Stephens.  He served with the U.S. Navy and worked as an Auto Mechanic with Hall's Motor Co. He also had a love for reading and watching western movies.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. Crystal Springs Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Suggs officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at Crystal Springs Chapel.

ML was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Barefoot and stepfather Seavy Barefoot.

Surviving are his sisters, Mary Ann Stephens Clemons and husband Don, Janice F. Barefoot Suggs and husband Butch; brothers, Seavy M. Barefoot, Jr. and wife Karen, Walter C. Barefoot and wife Vivian, David T. Barefoot and wife Deborah, Gregory Barefoot and wife Karen.
