Marion Hunter Tarrant, 82, of Hope Mills, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015. He was born February 11, 1933 in Fayetteville, NC. He attended The Citadel in Charleston, SC and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business in 1955. He went on to work at Commercial Credit and Branch Banking and Trust where he retired in February of 1988. He was a member of Faymont Baptist Church and was the happiest when spending time with his family. He is survived by his son, George and daughter-in-law, Kristy both of the home; his grandchildren Allie of Hope Mills and Daniel of Manteo; three sisters, Love Page and husband Prennis of Stedman, Ann Bunce and husband Earl of Fayetteville, and Mary Bailey and husband Gerald of Tarpon Springs, FL; 4 nieces and 7 nephews, 18 great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, George B. and Love McDaniel Tarrant and brothers, George Jr. and James Tarrant. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015, at Faymont Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015, at Faymont Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville.
