Obituary

RALEIGH — Marjorie Payne Daniels, 91, of Raleigh, died December 6, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 10, 1925 to the late Percy and Berta Payne, in High Point, NC.

Mrs. Daniels was a loving and devoted wife, to the late Retired Chaplain Franklin D. Daniels. She was a graduate of High Point College, where she earned her undergraduate in education. Marjorie took great pride in being a loving wife, mother, friend, teacher, leader and volunteer. Her love of people, friendly nature, and devotion to her family, friends and the church will be her endearing legacy.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her parents Percy and Berta Payne, her brother Percy Payne Jr., her many beloved relatives, and her husband of 58+ years, Franklin D. Daniels. Mrs. Daniels is survived by her son, William (Bow) Daniels, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Daniels of Raleigh, NC, her granddaughter Teva Daniels of Wasilla, AK, and her great-grandchildren, Sydney and Collin Dellabalma of Wasilla, AK.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017, 11am at Christ United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, NC. The service will be officiated by Beth Mason. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the MO/MHC Alumni Association, C/O Mr. Joe Pearce, 650 Huntington St. Elon, NC 27244-9809, or The Salvation Army.
